Fine but not highest quality
I got this for a cat we just adopted bc he was used to it. Overall this is OK but not the best quality compared to other brands. Our cat had GI issues so he had to come off this but the product is a good affordable starter option for cats. Especially if they like smoother wet food. Smell is strong.

Chicken chunks with gravy
First time I’ve ordered this flavor….my cats love all friskies, some more than others. They aren’t crazy about this one, they lick all the gravy and leave the chunks….makes me wonder exactly what the chunks are made of.If you are seeking the best deal to feed the most cats, this isn’t it. There’s more liquid than “meat”. I will probably order pate and mix the two together.Hope this review is helpful. I’m not negative to friskies at all….it is my regular canned food for my four.

My Cats Like It
First, it isn’t “pate”, so a spoon scoops it out easily. Second, the cats love the sardine flavor (as opposed to just generic whitefish). Third, it seems to have a good balance of meat and sauce. I use it as the first meal every day and they are happy with it.Portion size 5.5 oz. But that serves 4 cats for 1 meal (they get 6 meals per day).

Some flavors are not as fresh as others
My cats have been eating this from the store for years. I bought this online because it’s a better value, but for whatever reason, both times I’ve ordered this, they refuse to eat the chicken flavor but still love the seafood flavor. I’m not sure what is different about it suddenly but I’m going to try the same flavor from the store again and see if they’ll eat that in comparison.

I have one cat that eats this food, and it works great. The problem was with the delivery. I reported it as missing. The package was left on an old front porch, covered with vines etc. There is a sign indicating to deliver to side porch. We didn’t find it for 3 days. The delivery person had to climb thru vegetation, then climb 3 feet to get on the porch. Common sense?

Pretty good cat food except …
I buy this food to feed some of the feral cats in my neighborhood. They really enjoy it ! My only complaint was the packaging. 4 cans arrived smashed because they didn’t use any cushioning. Box smelled so I had to rinse off all the other cans! Please use cushioning to prevent the Friskies box from damage!

Hit or miss with picky cats
My senior cats are less enthusiastic about pate but one of them was fragile with trouble chewing. She passed away last month. Both had their favorite flavors and I wish the seafood ones didn’t have a strong fishy odor. I’ve since switched to the shredded in gravy variety in chicken and turkey flavors for the one cat.

My cat is a picky eater and won’t eat any wet food unless it’s Pate. It’s hard to find different flavors in the variety packs at times so I decided to try something different. I never tried this 1 with her before and I’m glad I got a case of it. I gave her a quarter of a can and she had it gone in no time! All I had to do is open a can of it and she came running to the kitchen from out of nowhere and was literally climbing my leg as I was putting a little bit in a dish for her to try. When she was done, she looked at me and meowed as if she were telling me it was good.

The 2 foster cats share at least one can every day. They always seem to prefer whatever type food that I’m not currently feeding them. They do love patè over shreds any day of the week though, so I’m glad to be able to just get patè.

I have 6 rescue cats who each have their preferences and this box of wet cat food certainly confirms that. They are not fussy cats, I made sure of that from the start by giving them three different flavors at each of their two daily meals, watching carefully to see who ate what. It has worked well for seven years. None of the cats will eat the Mixed Grill, they sniff it and go on to eat whatever else is in their bowls. They love the Salmon and I can count on them to lick up every morsel. They are o.k. with the Turkey & Giblets as long as I don’t give them too much at one meal or too often. (By the way the Mixed Grill doesn’t go to waste some is given to other rescue folks and some is enjoyed by a variety of possums who take up residence under our deck each winter)

Although the price has gone up considerably (like everything else) it’s still the best deal if you’re not too picky about ingredients. My cat likes it, but the consistency is … not consistent. Sometimes I open a can and it’s normal paté, other times it’s hard chunks of paté. Add water. Still preferable to a dry food diet.Delivery time was fast, so thanks for that.

Exactly what you expect but shipping is shaky
I’ve ordered this package from this seller multiple times now and it’s hit or miss. I’ve only ever gotten one broken can but I have gotten many many dented cans or cans with ripped labels. While they do come in boxes, somewhere along the line these cans tend to get knocked around.Bottom line–good food for an ok price but having these shipped has, more often than not, led to dented cans.

Got tired of getting stuck with cans of food my cats didn’t like, they like one kind, salmon pate, and there is never enough on the shelves at the stores. I was even happier to find one case of 24 salmon pate with gravy and what a hit, no more food wasted. Not sure why they don’t like any other flavors or the chunky but they don’t and from what I see on the shelves either do many other cats, even my outdoor cat, only strays will eat the stuff they won’t… little brats.

i am very happy with this product and have it on delivery every 4 week’sI have never had a problem until my last delivery yesterday.The case inside the shipping box was damaged and had been retaped. A can was missing and there was dried moldy cat food stuck inside the box. Some of the cans were badly dented and had to be thrown away. Damaged did not occur during delivery, it was shipped out from facility this wayI will continue to order of course but would like to see quality control step up and examine the product before shipping.

Can several times now along with other flavors, both mixed cases and single type…but our cats just love this particular offering the most!This would have got 5 stars from me, but one of the cans was just busted wide open. Not sure if it was an issue on seller end or if this was on deliveries end. But needless to say, the inside of the box was a gravy filled mess, lol. This was the first time this ever happened and, at least for now, I’ll write this off under “things happen.”

Watch out for damaged cans
I order this often and have always been satisfied, but in the order I got last week about half the cans were damaged–appeared to be caved in on one side. I checked the lids and decided they hadn’t been compromised except for one that was so damaged the cat food was coming out the lid. I went ahead and fed the cats from the undamaged cans and also the damaged ones that I thought the lids were intact. They weren’t. I had sick kitties–one who vomited all day. I don’t think they were damaged in shipment because the box was not damaged and the cans were dented in on various locations. Factory machine gone haywire maybe? If that’s the case, these damaged cans should have been discovered in a final inspection, I would think. Anyway, I suggest you carefully inspect all cans before feeding them to your cats.

I’ve bought other brands of more expensive cat food and was very disappointed in the portion size. I think this is really the best value for your money. I give my cat half a can in the morning and the other half in the evening and he’s as happy as can be. Plus, with the other brand I had tried, I had to use a pliers to help grip the lid to pull it off. These cans are super easy to open, which is an added bonus. And they’re easy to stack in the cupboard.

I buy this because it is economically more practical when feeding multiple cats. It isn’t their favorite but it has nearly twice the size of some of the other brands. I have only bought the Poultry. I do know the flavor “Mixed Grill” and “Mariner’s Catch”they absolutely refuse to eat. This when I consider wasting those cans it is wiser just to buy what I know there won’t be any waste. I still like the fact that they are getting a good variety with their other wet cat food. I feed one can per cat with dry cat food, twice a day. I don’t see any difference in their skin/hair. But they do eat it and it doesn’t make them sick. So they tolerate it-just not their preference.

Friskies Pate averages out to cost about .08 more per can than 9 Lives cans of same size, but our cats seem to like the Friskies brand better (at least this week) … Either way, canned cat food is pricey – Not sure where the product mishandling is occurring, but crushed/dented cans (no damage to external packaging noted) create a waste of money, so maybe that foolishness can stop? (Hence lack of 5-stars across the board).

One of the cans was dented and leaking into the cardboard box. When I tried feeding the cats it, they wouldn’t touch it. The product was gray. The outside of the shipping box was not indented, so it must have happened prior to shipping.
