Dogs like it!
I foster dogs and have fed this to several different breeds/types of dogs. They all like it and haven’t had any particular digestive issues from it. I like that there are pieces of real meat throughout the food, which I can tell the dogs love. This might sound weird, but I also like that, after I’ve had the bag open for a long time, those meat pieces dry up and get hard, which to me indicates the freshness/quality that the food starts at. Definitely a good budget option!

Good for pooping!
My dog loves the brand, however, this specific food made my dogs poop very soft and him having to poop more frequently. Like 2-3 times a day. If your doggo needs to poop more due to lack of digestive health , this would be a good food for your dog.

When I first poured some of this food into my dogs dish, I didn’t know what the weird looking chunks were. I was concerned that the food was contaminated or something.Then I looked closely at the bag and realized it was the “tender meaty morsels”!! 👍They look strange, but smell good and are some kind of freeze dried product I guess.At first, I was worried he would choke on these pieces because he tends to swallow his food whole and eat too fast!!So I started soaking his food in hot water and letting it sit for 10 to 15 minutes before feeding it to him.This food is perfect for soaking in warm water before feeding to an older dog. Sometimes I add carrots or apple slices and heat in the microwave. The Purina one absorbs the water nicely and smells really tasty!! He gets to enjoy the food more, and it really helps with his digestion and I would highly recommend.

We had a new dog back at first of the year. A Chiweenie. We tried so many dog foods but she kept turning away from them. Or they gave her gastric problems. We took her with us by my parents one day and I was telling my sister how we were experiencing such problems. They have a bulldog and my brother started her on this in rice & chicken. My sister sent a quart baggie of it home with us. She loves it. The stomach issues stopped also. Great food.

I wish they’d bring Alpo back.
I bought this when Purina bought out alpo and then discontinued it. But I squired my mom’s 2 dogs when she passed away and this and every once in a while you can find some cases here and whenever they do have alpo it’s always over 50 dollars a case talk about price gouging. But they love alpo so I’m on here everyday looking for Alpo

Monthly Review
We have this setup to come monthly for our dogs.They seem to like it and not complain like the wife when I feed her so…Looks to be healthy because the wife said we had to switch to it because it doesn’t contain something. Because the other brand I had contained it so anyways we swapped food and the dogs still eat it so I guess they don’t mind the change either.Price is good and it gets delivered to your door.

Doggy LOVES it, and no scratching.
After finding out my little dog is sensitive to chicken products, like a lot of other dogs, I switched him over to this. I fed this to my past dogs, and they Loved it, too. One important thing I noticed, the dog poops Less with this food! His coat is shiny and smooth, and No Scratching any longer! We are Both very Happy!

With it didn’t have corn in it but it does have what appears to be dried pieces of chicken in it and dog seems to like it better than brands I have tried that don’t have any corn in it (which is not supposed to be a good ingredient for dogs). I like the pieces of chicken in it (though the pieces don’t seem to be mixed in good and becomes more sparce as the bag gets more empty). I wish Purina would improve on that but given that the dog likes it, will probably keep buying it.

fussy bernedoodle finally has dog food she’ll actually eat!
Our 2 1/2 yo bernedoodle really likes this dog food! Very surprising to us as she’s such a picky eater. We’ve tried so many different types and brands and this is THE one and only kibble she seems to enjoy. She would eat the freeze-dried beef liver all day long but since that wouldn’t be a great idea, we’re glad to have found the Purina One!We often top it with a little Bernie’s Perfect Poop granules and some freeze-dried tripe or raw mini nibs (like Vital Essentials brand). She also loves the Instinct freeze-dried raw meals grain-free pellets.

The best choice for my big dog
After almost a year of trial and error in finding a good combination for our adopted Shepherd mix, this was the best production food along with fresh 100% pumpkin purée, to keep her stomach and digestive system in balance. She’s gained weight and happy and healthy. Our previous dog ate Purina One diet too, from being a puppy until she was 14 years old. Dogs with leaky gut or other digestive issues need the time and patience of their owners and try out small bags and combinations of probiotics and other good quality products, to make them feel better and stay healthy. Take your time and give it a lot of love and patience. They deserve it!

My dog’s favorite food!
They love this brand with the nuggets of freeze dried chicken. I feel good about the nutritional value with chicken being the first ingredient. I don’t have any issues with their digestive system & their stools are firm. I’ve tried other high protein brands without the same results. Made in USA

I also found another my dogs love, so I’ll toggle to keep life interesting for my best friends. I bought a giant bag and my dogs are tiny. Plus, I mix it with other stuff, so it lasts really long. Wound up giving 2/3 of the bag to my cousin so it wouldn’t go bad and his dogs fought over it. No lie.

Best Dogfood
This is the best dogfood. My dog has stomach issues, it took me years to find something that wouldn’t give him diarrhea or acid reflux. The meat pieces in this are a plus. He absolutely loves this food. I also give my cat this brand. Highly recommend it. And it’s a good price compared to a lot of other high end brands.

I chose Purina One because it was recommended by our local shelter. Vets have always recommended lamb and rice in the more expensive brands but I can’t afford to pay that much. This one falls within my budget.

I adopted our boxer mix from the humane society a little over 2 years ago and he has never been food or treat motivated. Our daughter feeds her large older dog the senior formula so out of curiosity I gave some to my dog and he ate it right up! I purchased this maintenance formula hoping he would like it as well and he does! Just wish it was a little less costly. Highly recommend.

A great alternative to the Purina Pro Plan Dog
I used to feed my dog the Purina Pro Plan (Savor), which is a tier higher than the Purina One line. But with rising prices/inflation, I had to make the switch and hoped my dog wouldn’t notice a difference. Thankfully, there isn’t much deviation from the two lines except dry little meat pieces–Pro Plan has more and larger pieces. My dog didn’t mind and treats it as the same as the pro plan dog food.15.99 for 8 lbs for the Purina One line, while the Pro Plan is 5 Lbs for 20+ Dollars. They’re both quality dog food, but if you’re wallet is tight and you don’t want to feed cheap food, this is the way to go.
