There’s some kind of sorcery afoot! Glue in a stick!? What craft fair wizard came up with this!? Thank you, Elmer, you gluey old playground lurker! No longer will I have to murder a horse and boil down its connective tissues for hours just to stick two pieces of paper together! And I’m not a very good glue-maker either, so I need about three horses to make a teaspoon of glue. But this stuff is amazing! I pop off the cap, twist it like a lipstick, and I’ve got glue! Additionally, as a child, I was quite the little paste eater, so these glue sticks are great for a snack on the go! It’s like my very own paste-pop! I’m just so excited about this product! In fact, i was so excited, I needed some glue remover to tear my eyes away from the screen! WOW! Look at all those exclamation points I’m using! And I’ve found dozens of uses for my glue sticks, too… They’re great for thickening soups and stews, sticking googly eyes on pictures or Barack Obama, throwing at kids who won’t get off my lawn, bribing police (you don’t know how many tickets I get out of… cops LOVE glue), and my personal favorite, holding my wife’s bosom together so she looks like an adult film star! Buy this glue stick and your dreams will come true! Unbeknownst to most purchasers, each stick of glue comes with three wishes. just take off the top, rub the glue stick, and a glue-genie comes out. For my three wishes, I asked for more glue, a meeting with Elmer himself, and the resurrection of the 1,787 horses I’d murdered over the years while making my own glue. Well, I hope my review helped! I’m off to enjoy a hot cup of tea and a tepid stick of Elmer’s glue!

Being in the printing industry, I was never really a glue stick fan since they never seemed to do what they supposed to do which is to only glue paper together. LOLHowever, when I need to utilize a glue stick for a minor job or for affixing custom hershey bar wrappers…. this is the only one I have. At first look it doesn’t look too different from you regular glue stick, not even stickier when you touch it. I glued two piece of paper together and set them aside for about 30 sec before I realized that I glued the wrong side.Naturally I tried to pull them apart which you can usually do with regular glue sticks. Imagine my surprise when I can’t pull them apart and when I finally separate them I have to ripped the paper.I do need to redo my project but now I have found myself a trustworthy glue stick!

The amount of glue elementary students go through is quite a bit. This box has lasted me over two years of teaching. The glue goes on purple and dries clear. It’s easy to wash off of various surfaces and, so long as the cap is properly placed, it won’t dry out.

Really grateful for a big box to share between my children because the purple “disappearing” glue just does not do the job well and these are really hard to find in stores. Great bang for your buck! And teachers love this box as a classroom gift!

3D Printing essential
When 3D printing this glue stick is essential. Applied to the build surface for ABS printing has been great! If you’re considering this product for 3D Printing make sure you are getting this “Washable/All Purpose”. I had previously purchased the “Purple/dries clear” version that doesn’t work at all for this application.

I use these glue sticks mainly for English Paper Piecing, where I glue a bit of paper to a bit of fabric and use specific shapes to get fun quilts. It allows for very precise designs and because glue sticks are pretty much starch sticks, it stiffens the fabric a bit which helps it hold shape when you’re hand sewing them together.These glue sticks are perfect for this, just a dab will temporarily hold the paper to the fabric and it washes out completely when you need to get rid of it, leaving the fabric completely clean.It also is great for gluing paper to paper, I also use these sticks for that. They’re fast drying and easy to use precisely, and the adhesion between papers is nice and sturdy– your papers won’t come apart when you use these sticks.This is also a good price point for them at the time of writing this review. Offline, you can find Elmer’s Washable Glue Sticks for sale cheaper around back to school time, but it can be hard to find a big pack of them for a good price any time of year.I would definitely go for this item again when I run out and recommend them for anyone. These are the white glue sticks by the way, not the purple or clear. Just so you know! They all work the same for English Paper Piecing though, you just want to make sure you get washable.Elmer’s glue has always been reliable and trustworthy for consistent results!

Ordered wrong ones. Our mistake
My son ordered these for his 3d printer, after ordered & received we realized they were white, he needed purple ones. Our mistake. But we now have 30 elmers glue sticks. Maybe someday they’ll find use for them as we already have alot. The box did come damaged/broken where they were all inside the bag they came in, but that was more of a delivery problem vs shipping problem I’m guessing. Because of the damaged box we didn’t return as didn’t wanna send back scattered everywhere. That entire order came in damaged from mail carrier.

Cap is on too tight
I bought these for my classroom, and the cap is on so tight you practically need a wrench to get them off. So, the solution is to not place the cap on all the way down.
