My tribe loves Nudges Chicken jerky. Buddy, the third dog in the video underwent major dental surgery right after we adopted him, and he struggles to eat most dog treats. He’s picky too, so we have tried a lot of different brands. As you can see, they love these! Maybe it’s because they are so fresh and tender, and actually smell appetizing. I was also surprised that these have glucosamine and Chondroitin which helps with joint health. Buddy is 10 years old, and Goliath, the big pit bull is 15. Just the scent and my dogs are geared up for these yummy treats. Well, I’m being “encouraged” to stop typing and start doling, so I will wrap it up here. Oh, one more thing, with four dogs, I am grateful for the value during these tough times in 2020.

Ok to freeze
My adopted 13-lb maltipoo mix turns up her nose to nearly all doggie biscuits and treats. Except, of course, people junk food which it seems she only had from the house she was rescued from. These nudges finally made it past her upturned nose, and can easily be torn into smaller bits for her training purposes.However, the 36 oz size is too big for her needs, and when asking the community whether they’re ok to freeze, there wasn’t adequate response. Here’s the scoop: Kept out 6 oz of strips, froze the rest using the products own ziplocked bag, squeezing out as much air as possible before sealing. 3 months later, took out 6 more oz. There’s no ice crystals on any of the frozen strips in the main bag, and (after thawing) she still likes them, so they’re probably not freezer-burned. The second batch also seems to be lasting just fine, no sour or rotten smells from them, so expecting them to last 3 months as well.

My dogs love these treats! They have been spoiled with these and chicken jerky since they were little puppies, so now they are kind of treat snobs! They refuse to eat regular treats that they give at the vet, or the bank, because they aren’t as good tasting as the Nudges. My cat even hears the bag open and comes running. I give her a few little bites and she gobbles them up too. They are worth the money to us because my dogs enjoy them so much. My dogs that are small only need a half of one, because a full one is quite a lot. Our bigger dog we do give a whole one too. We get the chicken nudges, and sometimes the duck ones if the chicken is out of stock, or if there is a sale price on the Duck flavor. My aunts and sisters dog come to stay every once in awhile when I dog sit, and the first thing they do when they get here is March on over to the treat tub, and look at me with those puppy dog eyes and wait for me to give them a treat! They even know when they come to my house they get the good treats!!!

A Perfect Treat
I’m so happy to have found these. My dog has bad knees and these are the only treats I’ve found with glucosamine and chondroitin that he will eat. He LOVES them!These are nice and soft, which is perfect for him because he’s old, is missing some teeth, and has a hard time with crunchy things, so it’s great to be able to give him a “big goodie” that he can easily eat. He gets one every evening as a reward for being a good boy while I give him his daily meds.Let’s just say they’re good enough to inspire a little old dog to sit perfectly still while I apply meds directly to his eyes, because he knows he’ll get one of these afterwards. Doesn’t get much better than that. 🙂

My Dog Loves These Snacks
We were looking for natural snacks for our dog Kimo and one of our requirements were that they be made in the USA. These snacks fit the bill and Kimo loves them! My picky dog loves these! It’s hard to find treats he likes. The chicken flavor are his favorite.I’m disappointed to see that the company has reformulated the proportions of fat and protein. In the new Duck & Chicken flavor, the protein content is lower and the fat is higher. I found the original formulation (just Chicken) for much cheaper at Sam’s Club. I’ll buy the original formula from there going forward. Great product!

I have been giving my pomeranians these Nudges for as long as I can remember. I also had a Carin terrier that also was a fan before the poms. All natural ingredients and rawhide free. They are a healthy treat and all my furry babies just love them. I use to have my neighbor’s dog run over, sit on my porch and stay there until he got one of these. His doggie parents couldn’t get him to come home until he had his Nudges treat. Oh yes! you can use these to train you doggie too! These treats are a staple in our house now. They are that good.

Sam’s Club used to carry these in their stores, but recently changed to something else. I have a Pomeranian that is picky about what she likes as a snack (any food for that matter), but she absolutely loves these. I try to keep a couple of bags stored away in case I can’t find in the stores. It also helps that they have Glucosamine and Chondroitin to help support there bones and joints. They’re also made in the USA, which is a big plus.

The treats are soft fresh for My yorkies, which are known for bad teeth, Am I the only one who feels my dogs are ADDICTED to these treats like someone on a Drug??? they beg for treat ALL DAY long, waking up at 6 am v=crying for their 1st hit of doggie treats.. If you are looking for a treat your pet will love, I’d definitely recommend giving these a try.
My dog needs medicine everyday. I give her one of these treats immediately afterwards. I’ve tried many different treats over the last few years with limited success at making her want to take her meds. Once I started giving her these after her medicine she very quickly had a behavior change at medicine times. Instead of trying to avoid taking meds or being difficult in general, she’s now very eager to take them because she knows she gets one of these. After just a few weeks of giving these at medicine times she now becomes very vocal when it’s time and it’s impossible to forget because she barks and runs to the medicine repeatedly. This is such a huge help for me personally as I take my own meds at the same time so she’s essentially reminding me that we both need our medicine. This may seem like an odd thing to say but for me, these treats have improved my daily life significantly. I never oversleep anymore, I never forget my dog’s or my own meds and things changed from a stressful daily moment into an extremely enjoyable time of each day. As a side note, they are not cheap but I believe the enjoyment that my family gets from the results of our pet’s love of these treats is priceless. One final thing I will mention… I did once receive a bag that contained what I would consider as a batch that shouldn’t have passed quality control. That bag contained much dryer, harder, thinner pieces that also appeared over seasoned. They smelled normal and appeared perfectly safe just slightly different. They were not expired or damaged in any way and the contents were uniform to that bag but weren’t what we had come to expect. My dog still ate them but with much less of the enthusiasm we had been seeing. This oddity was a one time occurrence so hopefully whatever that issue was has been sorted out long ago.

My little Shi Tzu loves these. They are soft and easy to chew (if he would chew them more than just enough to swallow). The larger bag is the best value, but don’t overbuy. The freshness expires 30 Days after opening the package. Their Oder stinks to me, but he loves them.

Too Expensive
I have a small dog that weighs 9 pounds and has trouble chewing. His mouth is very small. He gets one if he eats all of his dinner.This is a good product. Smells good, Very soft.I just feel like food and treats for pets has gotten so expensive. If I could find a recipe that I like for my pets I would make them if I could.I’ll keep looking.Delivery was fairly fast given that deliveries can be expected to slow down as the season progresses.

Yummy, easy on older teeth to shred and chew
I use for lunch and dinner, sometimes, depending on how busy I am. I have dogs in varying size and ages and usually try to feed high quality protein for lunches. With an older dog getting less strong teeth and jaw muscles, this is a great replacement from jerky treats. She still gets to bite, tear, chew, and swallow. Flavor is (apparently) good for her. No strong smell to offend, either. I am a repeat purchaser.

I keep these jerky treats in a porcelain dog cookie jar. The minute he hers the clink of the top coming off he comes running. They’re great for training as you can tear them into small pieces so as not to over do the treats. I put them in a pouch around my waist and reward him as I’m training.

Really luv these dog treats. My Chihuahua really likes them for her afternoon snack and does her tricks to ‘earn’ them.The only ‘downside’ of them is, they are not ‘Jerky’ treats… They are soft and pliable and the doggo inhales them quickly. Would prefer them to be a bit more jerky-like. Tough and stringy means she will have to gnaw her way through the snack.Only thing about them that I would change.

Nudges were owned by Tyson, but sold to General Mills during the pandemic and relabeled under the Blue Buffalo line. The already high prices were increased and availability seemed to be an issue for a while. I still have trouble finding the duck ones, but there always seems to be chicken, beef and the chicken pot pie varieties (the latter tend to mildew within 3-4 weeks and my dogs don’t really care for them even when the bag is freshly opened). However, they are sourced and made in the US as I don’t trust most foreign pet food/treats so I still buy them to keep my pups happy. One helpful trick is to squeeze as much air out of the bag when you seal it back up. These dry out quickly otherwise and become a lot tougher to chew.
